As some of you may have heard, Abby is not crawling yet, she is not cruising (that actually scares her to DEATH), she is not scooting. Occasionally she will roll till she gets what she wants but not usually. She just sits on the floor (she can turn herself around while she is sitting). The problem is that her little mind is totally ready to explore new things. She gets so bored (but apparently not bored enough to do anything about it). The thing I don't get is that I totally think she could crawl if she wanted to, she just wont even try. I put her on her hands and knees and she just cries and cries and then she flops to the floor and rolls over. I am trying really hard to be patient with her, but sometimes with her complete lack of even trying, it is hard. Anyway, I am having a hard time coming up with things for her to do. Yesterday I thought to myself, OK if she were crawling what would she be doing? Then I realized she would be getting into things, making a mess. So I sat her in front of some drawers and let her empty them, she had the best time and it provided a good 30 minutes of entertainment for her.
I helped throw a baby shower for a friend yesterday and I ended up with the balloons. Abby was very interested in them. So fun to see her experience things for the first time.
The other day my friend Debbie came over with her little girl Bailey. It was a lot of fun to watch the girls interact with each other.

Smart idea to move her to a drawer! I love how even though they are making a mess, they are making a mess that only takes minutes to clean up while you get what seems like so much done!
Ash, I know exactly what you're going through! That was exactly how Brynlie was and it was so frustrating! Plus she was such a fussy baby anyway that I was always saying if she was mobile I just knew she'd be happy! Well, that little spunk didn't crawl until a week after she turned 1 and then she started walking just a month later. I've probably told you this saga before, but hang in there! It sounds like you're getting creative and it's working! She's just as cute as can be!
