The Holidays

This year I got to spend five and a half weeks at home in SLC for the Holidays. The weekend before Thanksgiving Alex and I flew to SLC for my little brother's wedding

The wedding turned out beautiful and we are so happy to have Amanda in our family now.
Alex had the whole week of Thanksgiving off of school so we spent the week hanging out with family. On Thanksgiving we went to dinner with Alex's family at the Little America (a tradition in their family for the past few years). Then we went to a movie (The Blind Side, which is a Great movie)and on to my parents house for some leftovers and pie.

The day after Thanksgiving Alex flew back to Idaho for three weeks for finals and I decided to stay in SLC since finals consume all of Alex's time and attention. I missed him but it was fun to be able to spend so much time at home. After finals Alex drove back to SLC for Christmas. For some reason I am really bad at taking pictures and I never think about taking them so this is the only picture I have of our Holiday festivities

Maybe after the baby is born I will be a little bit better about taking pictures, I can only hope right? Christmas was great though, we got to talk to my little brother Matt who is serving a mission in Lithuania, and spend time with my family and Alex's (they only live 10 minutes apart).

Since I was 34 weeks pregnant after Christmas and we had to make the eleven hour drive back to Idaho we decided to leave right after Christmas so that I could make it back for my Doctor's appointment. So that was our Holiday in a nutshell. Usually I LOVE Christmas but this year I was so excited for Christmas to be over so that February would hurry up and get here. This year I had a lot more to look forward to After Christmas, you can probably tell that in my boring account of my Holidays :) So sorry about that...but February here we come!!!

LOL Great post man. You'll be WAY better at taking pictures after your baby is born. You'll just think she's soo cute and sooooooooo wonderful there'll be no stopping you.
If it's any consolation I don't have a picture of just Dru and I together for the WHOLE OF 2009!!
But I do have MILLIONS of my children.

I agree with Melissa - you get so much better at taking pictures once you have a baby!
