Should I be bugged?

So Alex decided that he would enter a pumpkin in the pumpkin carving competition going on at our ward party tomorrow night. However, since he is at school all day it has been left up to me to find the perfect pumpkin for him to carve. Like an idiot I waited until the last minute to find a pumpkin (not a good idea since all the good ones get taken early I found out). The first place I check is Safeway because it is the closest to our apartment. I get to the grocery store only to find out that the pumpkins they have left weigh at least ten or eleven pounds and are huge, not to mention they all have weird things going on with them that should not be found on a respectable pumpkin. Besides this they are all placed in an enormous box that is on a stand at least two feet off the ground, the top of the box comes up to my chest and all the pumpkins sit lower in the box since they are becoming scarce. How is a pregnant woman supposed to lean into the box and go through all the pumpkins to find the right one when she can hardly reach them and even if she could they are too heavy to be lifted at such an odd angle? I pick up the two that I can reach and both look gross, standing on my tippy toes I scan the box for other good ones but they all look gross too. Hmm, maybe I will have better luck at WinCo? I get in my car and drive to WinCo. To my dismay the box of pumpkins is set up the same way, two feet off the ground with the top of the box coming up to my chest. Dang, I thought as I looked around for someone to help me, unfortunately the only people I could see were old ladies and women with two or three crying children. Then out of no where a young, strong college boy with a bleach job gone wrong hair, comes up to the pumpkins, "any good ones?" he asks, "Not that I have seen" I reply. He starts picking up the pumpkins one by one (a task that has been pretty much impossible for me) to inspect them. After looking at three he says "this one will do" and puts it in his cart. "Would you like me to find one for you?" he asks, "why yes that would be helpful" I replied happily. He grabs one at the bottom of the box, "how about this one" he says holding up the pumpkin for me to inspect. "That looks really good" I smile, it is actually the best one I have seen all day, not a single scratch or dent I think to myself "Thank you". Then weirdly bleached hair boy begins looking at the pumpkin too, "actually, this one is a lot better than the one I got, I think I will take this one". He then takes the pumpkin he originally chose out of his cart and replaces it with the one he got for me. "Well good luck finding a pumpkin for yourself" he calls over his shoulder as he pushes his cart away. Wait a minute, wasn't that the pumpkin he was picking up for me? Did he just steal my pumpkin? What the heck, that was the best looking pumpkin ever and for a split second it was mine, but now it was gone, stolen by a guy that I used to think was nice. I slowly walked back to my car with my shoulders slumped and my head hanging low, empty handed. I guess I will have to go back tonight with Alex so that he can sort through the pumpkins and maybe, just maybe we will find a perfect one to replace my stolen one, but my hopes are not high. Needless to say, I was bugged, but should I have been? After all was it really my pumpkin in the first place? What are your thoughts? Do I have a right to be bugged or am I letting my pregnancy hormones get the better of me?

be bugged. what an idoit. Pregnant women have cart blanch (don't know if I spelled that right) on pumpkins and 'star' (I spelled it backwards to protect the innocent... hehe)
