Finally Settled

Well we made it to Idaho safe and sound, the drive from Salt lake to Moscow was not that much fun (about 12 hours in a truck) but nevertheless we made it. I was a little nervous to see our apartment. We rented it without having seen even a picture of it, just a friends word that it was good. Luckily it worked out well. The apartment is nice and I am finally done unpacking (besides the spare room that I threw all the things I didn't know what to do with, but that doesn't count I will get to that, but for right now I will shut the door and pretend it is perfectly organized in there).

Moscow is a tiny little town, I am definitely having to get used to being in such a small town but so far I really like it. I love that I do not have to commute anywhere, everything I need is less than a five minute drive away. This town reminds me of Provo in that everything revolves around the school, it is the life of this town for sure. Only about seven miles away is Washington State University so with two big Universities right next to each other there are a lot of students here.

As far as the ward goes I feel like we have the best ward, everyone is so friendly and we are making friends quickly. We are in a married student ward so everyone in the ward is about our age and going to school. We do not have a mutual program, just a primary but even then the oldest child is only about five.

Alex is loving his second year of Law School so far and practically lives at the law building, I am so proud of him for working so hard, I am lucky to have found some good girl friends here to keep me entertained :) There seem to be a lot of girls in my ward that are pregnant so I fit right in :) I love how close my Doctor's office is. If my appointment is at 12:30 I leave about 12:25 or a little after to get there on time, the hospital is equally as close. I have met my Doctor once and I immediately liked him (I also found out he is my bishop's brother in law...small town) We find out if it is a boy or a girl on September 17Th, two weeks from today, I can't wait to stop calling the baby it and be able to say he/she instead.

Some of you have asked me about the landscape in Moscow, here are some pics I found of Moscow that capture it perfectly.

This is a picture of the University of Idaho campus, that big dome is where they play football

This is what all of Moscow looks like right now, hills and hills of wheat fields as far as you can see

So if any of you are looking for a little getaway for Labor Day you are welcome to come visit us in Moscow, not quite as much to do as in Orlando, but still a cute little town.

It is so beautiful there! Oh, to live in a small town again. I am so tired of Orlando. I hope we can move to slower paced town once Jared finishes school. Only about a year to go. : )

It looks fun! In a smallish town kinda way.... which I am starting to truly miss. LA and the city life is kinda overrated I decided. I just want to come frolic in those fields and sing dixie chicks "Wide Open Spaces". We don't know where we are going after this but stay tuned. WHo knows? Maybe Moscow Idaho????? P.S. I need to see pictures of your little belly again.

Congrats! That looks like a great place to live! I'm glad you're settled!

I just had to tell you I saw Vinny at Walmart last night! I couldn't help but chuckle as I walked by and could hear him talking to his mom a million miles a minute. He didn't see me though, so I didn't say anythin. But, it made me think of you. :)

I can't remember where it was, maybe a place called Sangria's (that is a total guess), but it's in Moscow and I had the best sweet potato fries there. You must find it and eat them.

Good work... and while you're pregnant, that is exhausting! It makes the biggest difference to have a great ward. Sounds like it will be great!
