Last night Alex and I decided to drive down by the beach to get a really good view of the shuttle launch. It was awesome and I am so glad that we made the hour drive to the beach. As you will be able to tell when you watch the video we weren't exactly sure which side the launch would come from and I chose the wrong one, oops :)The video really doesn't do it justice though, you can't see it nearly as well (in the video it just looks like a ball of light) but I think you will be able to get the idea. We decided to go to dinner after because we thought that would give the traffic a chance to die down, but apparently everyone else had the same idea because it took us about 3 hours to drive home. Because we didn't think the traffic would be that bad we did not fill up with gas before we left, we thought for sure we were going to run out because we were driving on nothing but fumes for about a 1/2 hour. We are truly blessed because we made it to a gas station just in time!
(No that is not how I am wearing my bangs these days, the wind was blowing them all sorts of directions)
